Youth Home Awarded Sturgis Trust Grant

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (June 8, 2006)—Youth Home, Inc. announced today they have received a grant from the Roy and Christine Sturgis Charitable and Educational Trust of Dallas, TX. This is the fourth grant the Sturgis Trust has awarded Youth Home since 1985.

The $100,000 grant will allow Youth Home to make much-needed safety and structural improvements to their residential treatment facility, Crestview House, which offers residential psychiatric treatment for emotionally troubled adolescent males. The average length of stay for a Crestview House patient is seven months.

“We are excited to partner with the Sturgis Trust,” said Beth Cartwright, Executive Director of Youth Home. “This grant will enable us to provide a safer and more secure environment for our patients at Crestview House, and in turn allow us to more effectively meet the challenge of caring for Arkansas’ most severely emotionally troubled teenagers.”
