- WINDSONG DUO: Becky and Steve Witkowski are owners.
.The Arkansas Chamber Singers take their seasonal shows to a couple of different venues this weekend, including the newest performance hall in Central Arkansas, the Windsong Performing Arts Center at the intersection of Interstates 430 and 40 in North Little Rock.
The Chamber Singers present their last show of the season, “Songs from the Bard: Shakespeare Texts in Pairs, Treys and Spares,” on Friday and Saturday, March 30-31.
Friday’s show is at the Windsong, a multipurpose arts facility with a 314-seat hall. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. The street address for the Windsong is 7318 Windsong Drive, just off Crystal Hill Road. Take the Crystal Hill exits off either I-40 or I-430.
Saturday’s 7:30 p.m. concert will be held at the Clinton Library, 1200 President Clinton Ave.
Admission to either concert is $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and students.
The ACS’s program is a tribute to the elevated verse of Shakespeare. Composers since the time of the Bard have been drawn to his words and responded with music of equal excellence. The singers will perform works by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Matthew Harris and jazz great George Shearing, among others.
Accompanying the Chamber Singers will be Strats Pavlov on piano and Joe Vick on double bass.
