- CAPERS MARKET: New and noteworthy.
Less than a year after opening its take-away food outlet, Capers is already a hit with Arkansas Times readers, scoring among the runners-up in the “gourmet to go” category behind perennial winner Diane’s.
Of course, the restaurant has been popular since it opened in 1997 on Highway 10 in West Little Rock. But in November 2005, owner Mary Beth Ringgold introduced Market at Capers to offer breads, soups, casseroles, desserts and a daily dinner special to the carry-out crowd.
Busy eaters can go online to plan their meal. A full menu is available at www.marketatcapers.com, and you can even sign up for an email service that will let you know what’s cooking every night. Making things even easier is a delivery option for an extra charge.
Dinners are usually around $10, and it helps to call early to reserve yours, because they usually sell out.
Market at Capers is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 14502 Cantrell Road. Call 868-1182 for more information.
