White devils

by

comment

I see that the Arkansas Times is operating on the white devil theory of history (“The Perfect Racial Storm,” Feb. 7). You believe that non-whites can do no wrong, even as whites can do no right. I call your attention to the ending sentence:

“Instead, Crittenden County, like the Delta and most of Arkansas, is reaping the bitter harvest of white supremacy, and the endless night continues.”

The writers of the Arkansas Times must not get out much. If they did they would notice that the majority of crime in black neighborhoods is not committed by the Ku Klux Klan or the Nazi party or even by white supremacists, but by black gangs. Indeed black on black crime is epidemic in the black community.

You tell about the death of DeAunta Farrow and offer this up as proof of the continuing legacy of white racism.

For every case you can print whereby a black man was a victim of white racism, I can show you case after case whereby a white was savagely attacked, raped, or killed by blacks and the case seldom made national news and was buried in a concerted effort by the national media.

The only endless night I am worried about is the number of white females raped by black males that civic and news authorities try their best to suppress any knowledge of. The only endless night I worry about is being carjacked or being a victim of a home invasion or being an innocent bystander in a drive by shooting.

Huckabee standards

Re the “Other days, Feb. 12, 1998” published in the Arkansas-Democrat Gazette, where Gov. Mike Huckabee amended his law suit against the state Ethics Commission contending they were violating the U.S. Constitution: Where are the 10 years of records from the governor's office? What happened to the computer and hard drives that were public property which were ordered destroyed? Why didn't he report the donors relating to his portrait? Why did he spend hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Governor's Emergency Fund at his exiting as governor that the legislature was required to approve? Why did he authorize taxpayer money to be spent on the Mexican consulate? Aren't these issues against Arkansas statutes? I see that Huckabee's double-standards philosophy is working just fine.
