According to city records, the Cheeburger Cheeburger restaurant chain is planning a move into West Little Rock in the coming weeks. The restaurant will be located at 11525 Cantrell Road. The chain at one time had a store in Fayetteville, and derived its name from the “Saturday Night Live” skit based on the famed Billy Goat Tavern in Chicago, whose cooks still shout “Cheeburger, cheeburger” when the order is up.
In a recent review of Theo’s American Grill in Fayetteville (Oct. 12), inaccurate information was reported regarding what was perceived as a lost reservation by the restaurant and the restaurant being half-full when the reviewer had finished the meal. Theo’s owner, Scott Bowman, said the 66-seat restaurant had only two tables empty when the reviewer left the restaurant. Also, Bowman’s records indicate the restaurant did not lose the reservation but put the diner on a waiting list on a night in which it was booked, then seated the reviewer in the patio section.
UPDATE: SCALLION’S Leave room for dessert at this little lunch spot in the Heights. There’s plenty to like on the lunch menu — our choice was a delicious tomato-basil soup and the day’s special, a chicken pasta salad, and our companion had good things to say about her chicken salad, which came with a small pineapple/amaretto finger sandwich on the side. But dessert’s definitely worth the calorie splurge. We split a fudge brownie sundae topped with Heath bar bits and smothered in whipped cream — so big two of us couldn’t polish it off. Service was quick and friendly as well. 5110 Kavanaugh. Full bar. CC $-$$ 666-6468 L Mon.-Sat.
