What's cooking

Grampa’s Catfish House has left its original location, at 1218 Mission Road in North Little Rock, for more than twice the space at its new north-of-the-river location, 100 Shadow Oaks, just behind Fort Thompson and off Warden Road on the McCain Mall side of U.S. Highway 67-167.

Grampa’s was open for 36 years on Mission Road. Besides doubling its capacity, the new location will also allow for private dining and private parties.

The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. weekdays, and continuously from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The telephone is 758-4654. Grampa’s also has a Southwest Little Rock location at 9219 Stagecoach Road.

Capsule review

NEW: MONTANA STEAK HOUSE There’s barely a hint of Montana heritage in this new strip center restaurant, but it offers a functional lineup of steak, potatoes, sandwiches, pasta and bar snack food in a simple setting at moderate prices. Think of it as feed more than food. 4120 E. McCain Blvd., North Little Rock. Full bar. CC $$ 955-2244 LD daily.
