Angel McVay, manager of the Farmers Daughter Cafe in the River Market's Cox Building, says the sandwich shop will likely close in three months if new investors don't step in or sales doesn't increase markedly. Bridget Shuffield started the cafe last November and recently lost two silent partners, who, McVay says, were discouraged they weren't seeing a return on their investment. McVay says Farmers Daughter tries to use all local produce, hormone- and antibiotic-free meats and organic breads and milk.

There's a sign on a storefront in the Heights, next door to B.A. framers, announcing the coming of new a sushi restaurant. “Soon” is the best we can tell you. It'll be called Sushie Cafe.
