Conway's Oak Street Bistro will, starting in January, no longer be on Oak Street. Executive chef and owner Pam Trent says she'll be serving dinner and brunch as well as lunch at the new location, at 810 Fourth Ave. There will be a bar and outdoor seating there, as well. Until then, enjoy a new fall menu at the original lunch place. Oak Street also caters.

The Root Cafe, the local-foods cafe in development, and the Arkansas Earth Institute will team to host a Fall Harvest Celebration on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Bernice Garden on Main and 14th. There'll be live music featuring the Woody Pines, contra dancing and homemade soups and hot apple cider. It's a zero-waste event — attendees are asked to bring a spoon and mugs. The cost is $10 per person or $25 for families.
