What's cooking, July 2

Joe St. Ana, the owner of Crush Wine Bar at 115 E. Markham, has a new venture: a wine and martini bar he's calling Diversion. Diversion should open in mid-August at 2611 Kavanaugh Blvd., in the space that recently housed Lemon creperie. St. Ana said he's searching for a chef to oversee a lunch menu of panini and salads and a tapas menu for the evening. He's added a deck to the top of the building that he says is handicapped-accessible.

St. Ana says he'll keep Crush in its current location at least until his lease runs out at the end of the year. Thereafter, he says, he might move it to West Little Rock or downtown North Little Rock.

Kent's Downtown, an offshoot of the Gravel Ridge-based Meat Shoppe, is now open in the River Market's Ottenheimer Hall. The menu includes beef, pork and turkey barbecue options as well as items like meatloaf and Cajun sausage. There's a breakfast menu and rotating lunch specials, too. The phone number is 375-1900.
