Rumored to become a restaurant for years, the long dormant building adjacent to the east of the Clinton Museum store, on President Clinton Ave., appears to be on its way. A sign out front announces that the Wrought Iron Grill and Pub will open the first quarter of 2008. We'll keep you posted.
As we reported last week, a new restaurant group, led by Richard Harrison (Pizza Cafe), has purchased Browning's. Harrison recently told us that Browning's is very close to adding Cordell's potato salad, chicken salad and roast beef, thanks to new co-worker Dean Cline, who owned the late Cordell's. These will be available for takeout, just as they were at Cordell's deli in Riverdale in the old days. Look for a French dip sandwich, too.
