SuAnn Scales Haupt is working towards opening Simply Seafood, a seafood import business on Ninth and Izard streets, in unused space at Capital Automotive, which her husband owns. She hopes to be open by the first of the year. In the meantime, you can buy shrimp from the Alabama Gulf Coast, frozen on the boat and vacuum-sealed, directly from her by calling 519-7515 or e-mailing sabar723@sbcglobal.net. She hopes to carry grouper, red snapper, tilapia, tuna and redfish in the near future as well.
