As we'd previously reported in this space, a Thai restaurant, Bangkok Thai Cuisine, and a Bavarian-style restaurant, Mason's Deli and Grill, are coming to the River Market's Ottenheimer Hall. Now opening dates have been set. Mason's will open Saturday, Nov. 22, and Bangkok Thai will open Saturday, Nov. 29.
Lindsey's Bar-B-Que, the famed North Little Rock pit barbecue restaurant, open since 1956, has closed. The loss might be felt harder if Donnie Lindsey, son of original owner Bishop D.L. Lindsey (of the Church of God in Christ), hadn't recently revived Lindsey's Hospitality House in North Little Rock, with his father still overseeing the pit barbecuing and sauce. Donnie Lindsey, who reopened on Monday at 207 Curtis Sykes Drive, says he's offering the same barbecue meats as Lindsey's Bar-B-Que along with home-style offerings like fried chicken, pinto beans and corn bread. The Hospitality House's hours will be 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Mon.-Sat. The phone number is 505-8085. See more on the history of the Lindseys in North Little Rock on the Times' Eat Arkansas blog.
Correction: In last week's dining review of Panera Bread, we mistakenly said the chain has outlets in three states, when as of October, it had locations in 40 states and in Canada.
