Famed Irish Tenor Ronan Tynan will perform a solo concert at the University of Central Arkansas’s Reynolds Performance Hall in Conway on Thursday, Nov. 2.

Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Tickets range from $12 to $35.

Tynan, who was crippled at birth, lost both legs in car crash at age 20. Within a year, he was winning gold medals at the International Paralympics, running on prosthetic legs. He was also one of the first disabled persons in Ireland to enroll in medical school. But his singing career took off when he entered and won the BBC’s “Go For It” talent competition, and he became an original member of the Three Irish Tenors. Tynan became famous in America, however, following 9/11, when he sang at many memorial services.
