100 SCARIEST MOVIE MOMENTS
Bravo (Comcast Ch. 50)
8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28
Back during our misspent youth, we were big fans of horror flicks, jump-out-and-gitchas, and monsters of any stripe. As we’ve gotten older, however, our mettle has softened considerably. A recent trip to the screening of a new horror movie found us peeking through our hand at the screen more than we actually watched. For those with more guts, however, Bravo offers this multi-parter that rounds up the 100 moments that scared us most. Drawing on interviews with horror legends like Stephen King and John Carpenter, it promises to make the popcorn fly.

The Travel Channel (Comcast Ch. 32)
As anyone with a degree knows, every campus has a ghostly legend. And while beer-bonging college students probably aren’t the most reliable witnesses to ghostly phenomenon, there are a few campuses across the country where the spirits aren’t just in the cabinet, floating in the fish tank, on the dining room table, next to the toilet, with some guy named Bluto, etc., etc. Here, investigators go in search of a ghostly librarian who haunts the stacks at Illinois State, and a sealed room at Keene State University which, legend has it, holds a terrible secret.
