Inclement weather knocked out several events scheduled for last weekend, and they’ll be made up this week:
• Soup Sunday provides a great opportunity to try out the cooking talents of some of the best chefs in the area, and the soup’s on this Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Embassy Suites ballroom from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. More than 30 restaurants, caterers and bakeries are involved in the 25th annual event.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under. Along with soup and beverages (wine is available), there will be a silent auction. The proceeds benefit Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families.
A Kids Room will offer a performance by magician Derek Rose and other entertainment, while Little Joe and the BK’s will provide music for the adults.

• The Arkansas Celtic Music Society’s Celtic Fair has been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25, from noon to 6 p.m. at the Mabelvale United Methodist Church, 10500 Woodman St. All the events that were planned for last Saturday will be held around the fair, including Irish dancing, miniature horses, Irish wolfhounds, craftsmen, Celtic music and a children’s area. Admission is $10, with children under age 6 admitted at no charge. Food will be available for purchase throughout the fair.

• Michael Carenbauer’s guitar performance has been rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 23, at 8 p.m. at the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall on the University of Arkansas at Little Rock campus.
