PROGRAM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO ASSIST ELDERLY

FAYETTEVILLE – Faith in Action, a service of Washington Regional that provides assistance to the homebound elderly in Washington and Benton Counties, is offering an Orientation and Training session for those interested in volunteering. The session will be held on September 13th from 8:30am – 12:00 noon at the Washington Regional Farmhouse, located behind Washington Regional Medical Center at 180 W. Appleby. A light breakfast will be served.

New volunteers may choose from a variety of service opportunities including providing friendly visits, telephone reassurance calls, trips to the grocery store, transportation to physician appointments, respite care, chore assistance or reading mail to homebound residents. Those interested in volunteer training may phone (479) 713-1725 to make a reservation.
