Pennant fever Travs hope to deliver knockout punch with boxing champ Taylor on the scene. If the Arkansas Travelers are going to have any more home games in 2005, they have to win the second half of the Texas League East Division pennant. As of press time this week, the Travs were leading the division with a week and a half to go. Before the Travs take to the road against a couple of division rivals, they conclude their regular season home slate against the Wichita Wranglers on Thursday and Friday, Aug. 25-26, at Ray Winder Field. World middleweight champion and Little Rock native Jermain Taylor will be on hand at the Friday finale, which starts at 7:10 p.m. Taylor, who has a 25-0 record and won the title July 16 against Bernard Hopkins, will sign autographs before the game and throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Official Jermain Taylor merchandise will be available for purchase throughout the game and for autographing (no personal items may be brought for autographs). Gates open at 6:10 p.m. Children are invited to run the bases after Friday’s game. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children 14 and under. Box seats are an additional $2.
