With early voting well underway, and Election Day speeding toward us (it’s Tuesday, Nov. 2) the Arkansas Times repeats its previous endorsements and adds two new ones, both stalwart progressives — DISTRICT 29 STATE REP. JANET JOHNSON of Bryant, a school teacher, and DISTRICT 45 STATE REP. BETTY PICKETT OF CONWAY, for re-election. n President — JOHN KERRY. How wonderful it will be to once more have a president who doesn’t smirk. Or violate civil liberties. Or shower tax cuts on the rich that the poor have to pay for. Or make up reasons to start wars that he can’t finish. Or appoint extremists to the Supreme Court.
