Jamie Farr, famed for his Corporal Klinger role on the TV show “M*A*S*H” and most recently in Little Rock last October for the touring play “Say Goodnight, Gracie,” will return as host of the 77th Academy Awards Ceremony Viewing Party benefit for the Wolfe Street Foundation on Sunday, Feb. 27.
The local black-tie Oscar party will be held at the Embassy Suites on Financial Centre Parkway in West Little Rock beginning with the red-carpet walkup at 6:30 p.m. KATV, Channel 7, reporter Julia Grayson and morning radio personality David Bazzel will join Farr as the local emcees. The KATV telecast begins at 7 p.m. Dinner is served at 7:30 p.m.
Showing the live 77th Annual Academy Awards telecast on KATV Channel 7, the Little Rock black tie event matches the glamour of Hollywood with red carpet walks, live TV interviews, participant photographs, a silent auction, awards from the “Predict the Winners” contest, and more throughout the evening.
The gala is a sanctioned participant in Oscar Night‚ America 2005, an exclusive recognition from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Tickets are $100; call 372-5662.
