From Nashville, Jackson Waters plays pop-rock with Christian undertones at Sticky Fingerz, 9 p.m., $5. Progressive metal quintet Bent from Hardy headlines at Juanita's with Eve, 9 p.m., $6. The show is open to ages 18 and up. Guitar whiz Seth Freeman brings his band to Cajun's Wharf, 9 p.m., $5. In Eureka Springs noted spook house the Crescent Hotel plays host to Eureka's Third Annual Ghost Seminar.


Former Arkansas Times Musicians' Showcase winners Brenda & Ellis play a set of soul and pop at the Afterthought, 9 p.m., $7. Local blues and classic rock cover band the Alley Katz perform what they call “fun music for fun people” at Cajun's Wharf, 9 p.m., $5. In its monthly electronic music series Zodiac Capricorn, Revolution features noted Texas DJ Fabion Bates, 9 p.m. At White Water Tavern, Fayetteville folk-rocker Sarah Hughes performs with her band, 9:30 p.m., $5. At its new permanent space on South Main, the ACAC hosts “Show Their Shorts,” a night of Arkansas-produced short films, 6 p.m., $5.

The Village, in collaboration with 103.7 “The Buzz” and SUBzero fighting, presents a mixed martial arts showdown, 7 p.m., $25-$550 (for VIP tables).At Discover, Michael Shane and Platinumb are in the discotech, while g-force holds it down in the lobby, midnight. Downtown Music hosts a benefit for the Humane Society featuring former “American Idol” contestant Sean Michel, 8 p.m., $6. The songs U.S. Marine Cliff Hudson wrote while stationed in Iraq have drawn national media attention. Hudson plays his country-rock at Cornerstone on Saturday, a concert that'll serve as an after-party for the George Strait show at Alltel, 10 p.m. Blue-eyed soulman Big John Miller does his thing at White Water Tavern, 9 p.m., $5. Savannah-based jazz-rock group the Codetalkers play Sticky Fingerz, 9 p.m., $8. Meanwhile, down the street, Little Rock's favorite covers band the Gettys perform at Revolution, 9 p.m., $5.
