The two Bills, Thurman and Nesbitt, do hot club and gypsy jazz during the Afterthought's regular jazz night, 8 p.m., $5. East Nashville-based singer/songwriter Luke shares a bill with his hometown homie Chet O'Keefe at Satellite, 9 p.m., free; look for folk-pop ditties. West Memphis' Kings of Delta fuse blues, rock, reggaeton and funk in the headlining spot at Cajun's, 9 p.m., $5. The Travs take on the Nats in their second-to-last home game at Dickey-Stephens, 7:10 p.m., $6-$10.



At Sticky Fingerz, the Muscles Shoals' duo Boombox — one guitarist/vocalist + one DJ = something club kids and jam fans can agree on — plays for a growing following, 10 p.m., $10. Formerly Molten Lava, Fayetteville's Boom Kinetic plays synth-pop at Revolution, which always pulls in a crowd on football weekends, 9 p.m., $8 (18 and up). Chicago DJ Paul Anthony headlines a big dance party at the Village, with supporting help from Sleepy Genius, Jiminy Kick-It, Justin Sane, Guido and Stepchild with the Ponies (doing a dub set), 9 p.m., $10 adv., $15 d.o.s. Cajun's hosts local party band Weakness for Blondes, 9 p.m., $5. In the same vein, West End has Mr. Happy, 9 p.m., $5. Damn Bullets' guitarist/vocalist Paul Morphis offers a free show at Satellite, 9 p.m. Local duo Fjord Mustang is at Capi's, 9 p.m., free. Local acoustic singer/songwriter Barrett Baber performs at Prost, 9 p.m., $5. Piano man William Staggers does his thing at Afterthought, 9 p.m., $7.



Red dirt country standard bearers Jason Boland and the Stragglers headline at Revolution with John D. Hale supporting, 9 p.m., $12 adv., $15 d.o.s. Fayetteville's Boom Kinetic plays a CARTI Benefit outside at Big Whiskey's, 5 p.m., $5 (before 9 p.m.) or $10 (after). At “I Love the Tru Skool” at Crush, DJ Swift spins jams that are too fresh too be called old school, like “ATliens”-era Outkast and Craig Mack's “Flava in Ya Ear,” 9 p.m., $5. It's a showcase of local rock at Juanita's with Iron Tron, A Darkened Era and Land Of Mines, 9:30 p.m., $5. The Lucious Spiller band holds it down at Sticky Fingerz, 9 p.m., $5. At Discovery, Miami's DJ Michael Tank spins in the disco, while g-force mans the lobby, midnight, $10.
