THURSDAY 3/19

After successfully playing solo for the first time in something like two decades, the Boondogs' Jason Weinheimer returns to Satellite Cafe for songs and stories, 9 p.m., free. As it will monthly, the Ted Ludwig Jazz Trio returns to the Afterthought, 8 p.m., $5. As usual catch 'em earlier, at the Capital Bar, too, 5:30 p.m., free. Sticky Fingerz hosts a fashion show for local boutique RK Collections, 9 p.m., $10. At On the Rocks, Searcy's Jason Greenlaw and the Groove offer up blues rock, 9 p.m., $5. Local party band Typhoid Mary plays songs you know at Cajun's, 9 p.m., $5.

FRIDAY 3/20

Michael Burks didn't earn his nickname, “Iron Man,” from the comic. Rather, it springs from Burks' reputation for delivering intense, physical live sets and touring non-stop. The Camden native returns to Sticky Fingerz, 9 p.m., $10. Fayetteville's Benjamin Del Shreve specializes in swaggering, radio-ready rock. He's at Juanita's with Johnny Rocket, 10 p.m., $7. Chris Denny has been a fixture on Little Rock stages lately, but that's soon to change. Next week, he hits the road with Graham Wilkinson until mid-April. Before he's gone, catch him and his band at White Water, 10 p.m., $5. Kristin Jackson is a Playboy model turned DJ (DJ KayJay). DJ Max is a former Little Rock videographer turned Las Vegas DJ. Breezy Osborne is a former Little Rock celebrity (if such a thing exists) turned Las Vegas yoga instructor and girlfriend to DJ Max. Together, the three host “Girls Night Out” at Revolution, 9 p.m., $10 (for guys; girls get in for free). Osceola's Finding Jimmy Hoffa celebrates the release of its latest Southern-grunge-filled album, “Southern Hospitality,” at the Village. Sufferkate and Sychosys open. All the bluegrass gospel fans congregate for the annual Gaither Homecoming at Alltel Arena, 7 p.m., $21.25-$38.25. Blues rock standout Shannon Boshears headlines at Zack's, 9 p.m.

SATURDAY 3/21

At the Afterthought, sax man Gerald Johnson leads a revolving cast of local musicians in soul and jazz made for dancing, 9 p.m., $7. At Cajun's, local cover band Crisis! headlines, 9 p.m., $5. Vino's hosts metal acts Wishtribe and Out of Ashes, 8:30 p.m., $7. Late night, local jam band FreeVerse plays Midtown, 12:30 a.m., $5. At Discovery, Michael Shane and Ewell handle the disco, while Balance mans the lobby, midnight, $10.
