Texas country singer Kevin Fowler headlines a big concert at Revolution, 9 p.m., $10. At the new French bistro Velo Rouge, where a reverse happy hour from 10 p.m. until midnight has recently been instituted, pianist Dell Smith provides free entertainment, 10:30 p.m. The Afterthought hosts its regular Thursday night line-up, the Ted Ludwig Jazz Trio, at 8 p.m., $5. The Looney Bin presents Cowboy Bill Martin at 8 p.m., $7.


Popular Oakland-based metal group High on Fire headlines at Revolution, with A Life Once Lost, Saviours and the kings of North Little Rock (and increasingly points beyond) sludge metal, Rwake, 8 p.m., $10. In the tradition of John Mayer and Bob Schneider, pop singer/songwriter Jonathan Clay, whose music has been featured on “The Hills,” headlines at Juanita's, with Steve Means and Brad Passon, 9 p.m., $7. Blue-eyed crooner Big John Miller belts out the hits at the Afterthought, 9 p.m., $7. Searcy-based jam outfit Jason Greenlaw and the Groove play their semi-regular gig at Cornerstone Pub, 9 p.m., $5. At Cajun's, rock outfit the Mudpuppies headline at Cajun's, 9 p.m., $5. At the Flying Saucer, last year's Arkansas Times Musicians Showcase winner Cooper's Orbit performs at 9 p.m. Hendrix alum Graham Wilkinson brings his roots jam band the Township to Sticky Fingerz, 9:30 p.m., $5. DJ Sleepy Genius mans the ones and twos at On the Rocks, 9 p.m., $5.

At Discovery, Justin Sane and Platinumb are in the disco, with Jiminy Kick It in the lobby, midnight. Local jam band Weakness for Blondes performs at Club 2720 in Hot Springs, 9 p.m. Donna Massey and Blue-Eyed Soul do blues-rock at Cajun's, 9 p.m., $5. It's a night of local metal at Juanita's with Monoxide Project, the Weeping Gates and Sacred Rein, 9:30 p.m., $7. British singer/guitarist Luke Johnson and drummer Paul Peterson perform their regular gig at Reno's Argenta Cafe, 9 p.m., $5. Jam band Jason Greenlaw and the Groove play a late-night set at Counterpoint, 11 p.m., $5. Earlier, deer hunters take note, the Big Buck Classic, Arkansas's largest outdoors and hunting showcase, happens at the fairgrounds, 10 a.m.-8 p.m., $5-$10.
