If you're in need of a jump-start of the ol' holiday spirit, the River City Men's Chorus' annual holiday concert might be just the ticket. Tonight marks the last of three performances, 7 p.m., free. Or if vocal dexterity isn't really your thing, the Little Rock Wind Symphony presents “Home for the Holidays” at 7:30 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Church, $5-$10. Meanwhile, for the seasonally disinclined, popular local cover act the Gettys headlines at Cajun's, 9 p.m., $5, and the Ted Leo Jazz Trio perform at the Afterthought, 8 p.m., $5.

The Village kicks off its new Friday concert series, “M.I.L.F (Music Is Live Friday),” with a slate of local alt-metal acts, including Monoxide Project, Drop Dead Syndicate, Colossus Bound, Sychosys and Mesionide, 8 p.m. At Cajun's Wharf, roots-rockers Sean Rock and the Toltecs (featuring the Times' Roland Gladden on bass) play happy hour at Cajun's, 5:30 p.m., free; the Intruders headline, 9 p.m., $5. Local rootsy singer/songwriter Shannon Boshears plays Midtown, 12:30 a.m., $5.

Memphis “aristo-crunk” rappers Lord T & Eloise want to know, “What's more bling than an 18th century aristocrat?” They return to Sticky Fingerz to rap about Sperry topsiders, stock market fluctuations and trust funds, 9:30 p.m., $6. The Arts Scene, in North Little Rock, hosts a “Holiday Singer/songwriter Showcase,” featuring local blues outfit Charlotte Taylor and Gypsy Rain and Wonsaponatime, 8 p.m., $5. Party band Mr. Meaner is at Cajun's Wharf, 9 p.m., $5. The Village introduces another acronym theme night, “S.L.A.M. (Saturday's Live Arkansas Metal),” which kicks off with Becoming Saints, the Handshake Murders, Annabelle, Kaiden and Futuro Boots, 8 p.m.

Three more chances to leaven that holiday cheer: The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra will perform a “Family Holiday Concert” at North Little Rock High School East Campus Auditorium, 3 p.m., $5-$15. At Immanuel Baptist, the Natural State Brass Band presents its “Christmas Concert” at 3 p.m., free. Later, at 7:30 p.m., the Arkansas Chamber Singers perform “Handel's Messiah,” at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, $10-$15.
