Sunday" at Ernie Biggs; he shares the stage with prolific Memphis wacko Muck Sticky, hokey hip-hoppers Taco and Da Mofos and a little shake and wink from the ladies of Chelsie's Angels Burlesque Troupe, 9 p.m.
ACAC opens its downtown doors to eclectic Atlanta indie band The Back Pockets, one-man D.I.Y. synth band Timber!, Fort Smith's dirty-mouthed electro-rappers Super Smashed Brothers, and proggy, goofy Minneapolis act Voyager, 9 p.m., $5. The Afterthought hosts an open Tuesday Jam Session with pianist Carl Mouton, 8 p.m., free. St. Louis indie act Children of Spy takes to Maxine's alongside blue-eyed funk rock act Pilot Whale, Hot Springs, 9 p.m., free. Lucious Spiller Band, the staple of local barrooms, plays its weekly gig at Copeland's, 6 p.m. Karaoke takes over everywhere: Cornerstone Pub & Grill, Prost, Denton's Trotline, Town Pump, all free and at 8 p.m.
The Afterthought opens its doors to local up-and-comers with their weekly Acoustic Open Mic led by local musician Kat Hood, 8 p.m. Acoustic duo Brian and Nick take to Cajun's Wharf, 5:30 p.m. Americana and Red Dirt Country rule the night when Goose and Ryan Burton Band play Juanita's, 9 p.m. Indie rockers The Young Maths share the Revolution stage with drum and bass duo Androids of Ex-Lovers in a rare local gig, 9 p.m., $5. (The two bands also repeat the bill the following night in Hot Springs, at Maxine's, with local songwriter Bryan Frazier breaking down genre-barriers to join Androids of Ex-Lovers on stage.)
