Silverton, or the Silverton Family, as they're calling themselves these days, aim to revive the folk movement in Arkansas. This show, at White Water, is the band's first in some time, so expect plenty of eager congregants, 10 p.m., $5. Fayetteville's Benjamin Del Shreve brings his lively, no-frills rock band to Revolution, in a show open to 18 and older, 8 p.m., $5 (21 and older) and $10 (18-20). After taking Christmas Eve and Christmas off, the Ted Ludwig Trio reconvenes at the Capital Bar, its regular gig, 8 p.m., free.



It's metal at Vino's with Drop Dead Syndicate and Painbreak, 9 p.m., $7. Young tenor Cody Belew returns to the Afterthought with a backing band, 9 p.m., $7. Rock and R&B cover band Left of Center headlines at Cajun's Wharf, 9 p.m., $5. Fayetteville jam band AJKJ shares a bill with Beau Nixon and Patric Ellis at Juanita's, 9:30 p.m., $7 (open to ages 18 and older). The Ted Ludwig Jazz Trio is back at it at the Capital Bar, 8 p.m., free.


MONDAY 12/29

Nightflying celebrates 28 years in publication with big get-downs at Juanita's and Midtown. One cover, $10, affords access to both venues. The performers include the likes of Benjamin Del Shreve, Jeff Coleman and the Feeders, Blue Cahootz and many more, 9 p.m. both venues.



Party starter DJ Chucky P gets it moving at Cajun's, 9 p.m., $5. Piano man William Staggers performs at the Afterthought, 9 p.m., $7. After resting on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, the Ted Ludwig Trio returns to the Capital Bar, 8 p.m., free.



Local folk-rock hero Chris Denny brings his crack new backing unit to Afterthought, 9 p.m., $7. Nashville-based rising pop-rock act Jackson Waters returns to Sticky Fingerz, 9 p.m., $5. At Cajun's, cover band Crisis! plays songs you know, 9 p.m., $5.



From Cleveland, the Magpies, formerly known as Roger Hoover and the Whiskey Hounds, return to White Water Tavern for the first time in months. Their rollicking roots rock always packs in a crowd, 9 p.m., $5.
