Former DC Talk member Kevin Max brings his solo Christian pop-rock act to Juanita's, with Jake Smith, 9 p.m., $10 adv./$12 d.o.s. Jam-rockers Satchel Boogie plays Flying Saucer, 9 p.m., $5. Well-regarded Dallas indie rockers the Slack come to Cornerstone, 9:30 p.m., $5. At Counterpoint, local acts Jason Greenlaw and the Groove, Josh the Devil and the Sinners and Go Fast play a Toys for Tots fund-raiser, 10 p.m. Local act Jeff Coleman and the Feeders does Southern rock at White Water Tavern, 9 p.m., $5.


Local DJ guild Beeping Slag puts it down at the Easy Street Cabaret Room, with Western Meds, a beat-oriented performance outfit that has just added Casey Stuart of W/O to its ranks, 9 p.m., $5. The finalists of “Little Rock Star” perform a Christmas concert at Windsong Performing Arts Center, 7:30 p.m., $15. An annual tradition, TubaChristmas, celebrates the season at the River Market, in the East Pavilion, 3 p.m., free. Blue-eyed soul man Big John Miller plays the Afterthought, 9 p.m., $7. At Flying Saucer, past Arkansas Times Showcase winner Cooper's Orbit is at Flying Saucer, 9 p.m., $5. Revolution presents “One Cheesy Christmas,” with local pop-rock bands Latture, Cities and Thrones and Kingsdown wearing their ugliest Christmas sweaters, 9 p.m., $6. Vertigo, a U2 cover band, comes to Sticky Fingerz at 10 p.m., $5. At White Water, roots-rockers Graham Wilkinson and the Underground Township perform with impressive young local act Silverton, 9 p.m., $5. Young Little Rock band PLU celebrates the release of its new CD with a show at Vino's with Farewell Flight, PM Today and Futuro Boots, 8 p.m., $8.
