Get ready for some serious honky-tonk country when powerhouse duo Brooks & Dunn and their heirs apparent, Big & Rich, invade Alltel Arena on Sunday, Aug. 7, for the Deuces Wild Tour. They’ll be joined by special guests Warren Brothers and “hick-hop” country rapper Cowboy Troy when the concert starts at 7 p.m. “Neon Moon,” “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” “Hard Workin’ Man,” “That Ain’t No Way To Go,” “Rock My World (Little Country Girl,)” “She’s Not The Cheatin’ Kind” and “Mama Don’t Get Dressed Up For Nothing” are some of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn’s biggest hits. (They’re second place only to Simon and Garfunkel in numbers of records sold.) For the tour, they’ll bring in a 576-square-foot LED projection screen that will play videos and footage shot especially for the tour during the music. “Big Kenny” Alphin (apparently no one refers to him by anything more than Big Kenny) and John Rich have made a name by wandering from the traditional country genre to make “American music,” as Alphin describes it. Their hit “Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)” pushed their CD “Horse of a Different Color” to number one on national and country music charts. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $41.50 and $51.50 through Ticketmaster (975-7575, www.ticketmaster.com) or the arena box office (975-9000).
