ANDERSON QUARTET: At UALR.
The Marian Anderson String Quartet, the first African-American ensemble to win a chamber music competition, performs at UALR’s Artspree on Thursday, Feb. 17.

Formerly known as Chaminade, the quartet renamed itself in honor of the famed contralto and her work to bring classical music to new and diverse audiences.Their music will include composers from Dmitri Shostakovich to Johannes Brahms.
