Here's an interesting story on film and Paris.  On the eve of the release of "Paris je t'aime" a compilation of shorts by 20 directors, The Age writes, "From the moment when the moving image was born - December 28, 1895, when the Lumiere Brothers projected, before a paying audience in a cafe on the Boulevard des Capucines, a series of 50-second vignettes of the world in motion - the cinema has embraced Paris and the French capital has embraced the art form."
