It’s true; if you are in public and can’t keep your voice at a normal conversational level you are pretty much grist for my mill. In this case it is the man who “everybody” tries to shut up because he is a white man.

“From the time I get up in the morning to the time I go to bed, everybody is telling me what to do, and telling to shut the hell up because I’m a white man.” he proclaimed  from the back of the bus yesterday.

Which is always sort of an especially interesting thing to say on a university bus, which is truly diversity in motion, what with the average ride being chockfull of folks of many races and nationalities.

“Well, I won’t shut up!” he finished, loudly and proudly.

It sort of made me wonder, though, Idealistic Reader, as to just who were these folks around him at bedtime, telling him to shut up, just cuz he is a white guy.

Is he in a relationship with someone who isn’t white? I pretty much crossed that notion off my list almost at once. Does he live in a halfway house, where he is surrounded by folks who simply can’t stand the sound of his voice?

Or are they the voices in his head?

At any rate, I’ll bet he just loves the hell out of Facebook . . .

The CD “Classical Music For People Who Hate Classical Music” was my inspiration today.

Not that I hate classical music, it’s just that there are some dandy pieces on this.
