Hot Springs’ monthly Gallery Walk on Friday, May 5, should lead you to Justus Fine Art Gallery, 827 A Central Ave.,  where work by a number of Arkansas artists will be featured in a show called “Place Holders.”

Each work will be accompanied by statement about the connections the artists have for the places rendered in their work. For Rebecca Thompson, that’s a porch; for Laura Raborn, it’s a house on island she visited as a child; for gallery owner Dolores Justus, it’s a rocky shore. Others in the show include Beverly Buys, Virmarie DePoyster, Randall M. Good, Matthew Hasty, Gary Simmons and Emily Wood.
