Tonight's Arkansas Arts Center lecture by Gayle Seymour, "Arkansas Post Office Murals: Women Artists of the Depression Era," will go on, but not in the lecture hall as scheduled. Last night's rains backed up roof drains and flooded the lecture hall. No art was damaged; the lecture hall will be closed until April 12.

Seymour will speak in the Jeannette Edris Rockefeller Gallery, where the Charles Burchfield exhibit is on view. There will be a wine reception at 5:30 p.m.; the talk will follow. Rackensack musicians will perform after the talk until 9 p.m., and the restaurant will remain open. The event is free to members, $10 to nonmembers.

Seymour is associate dean in the college of fine arts and communications at the University of Central Arkansas. She'll address the limitations put on women artists of the era. Our Art Bus travelers on Saturday will also get to hear Seymour talk about work at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

Reserve at 372-4000.
