Delita Martin, who combines printmaking with sewn fabric to create larger-than-life iconic portraits, will give a talk Friday, March 11, at the  Mosaic Templars Cultural Center about her exhibit there.

Martin plumbs her own experiences and family traditions in "I Walked on Water to My Homeland," narrative and always powerful portraits of African-American women. The talk is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the center, 900 Broadway, as part of the museum's MTCC After Dark series. Refreshments will be served.

Read more about Martin in "Five Artists You Should Know"  and "The State of the Art."
