has been named executive director of Ballet Arkansas
, the company announced today.
Blake comes to Ballet Arkansas from Just Communities of Arkansas
, where she was development and marketing director. She has a bachelor's degree in theater arts and a master's in secondary education from UALR and has raised over $1.5 million for Arkansas nonprofits, according to a news release from Ballet Arkansas. She is also president-elect for the Association of Fundraising Professionals board of directors and sits on young professionals boards for the Arkansas Arts Center, ACANSA Festival, and the Arkansas Repertory Theatre. She is married to state Democratic Rep. Charles Blake
, who represents District 36 in Pulaski County.
There will be a reception for Blake tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the home of Ballet Arkansas Board of Directors Chair Kirk Bradshaw, Westriver Tower, 3500 Cedar Hill Lane, 6N.
