Back in May, we shared with you the news that Texas-based pizza chain Pie Five Pizza was on its way to Arkansas. We’ve got some updated info on this new addition to our food scene.
Starting this Friday, October 30, Pie Five will be serving up their quick pies at their new location in the Hurricane Creek Village Shopping Center down in Benton. This is the new shopping area that houses a big Kroger and Academy Sports store, and it shows how fast Saline County is growing. Back when I lived just down Highway 5 from this area, it was all grown-over fields and trees.
From the press release:
Pie Five will be serving handcrafted, made-to-order pizza pies at their Benton location. The pizza powerhouse allows patrons to build and enjoy their own creations, or a signature pie, in under five minutes! At Pie Five, guests can choose from more than a million combinations of farm fresh ingredients, artisan sauces and handcrafted crust varieties. The rapidly expanding chain is capitalizing on growing consumer demand for fresh dining options and artisan pizzas without the wait.
“We’re excited to bring more of our unique handcrafted pizza to this thriving area,” said Rob Byford, President of JBI Holdings, LLC. “Pie Five makes it easy for everyone to get what they want with fresh, artisan ingredients in under five minutes a pizza.”
I’ve never actually eaten at one of the places, so if you have, give us an idea about what to expect in the comments there. Five minute pizza sounds like a great thing—I can’t even get a Totino’s Party Pizza good and crispy in the oven in 5 minutes, so I’m looking forward to seeing just how this place does it.
