AIA Arkansas is holding its first online People’s Choice competition among designs by Arkansas architects. The buildings featured include museums, churches, homes, schools and businesses.

Go here to see the designs and make up your mind. When you click on a project you’ll see more images and drawings and get more information on the project. What you won’t find out is what architectural firm came up with the design.

If I ran the world, I would have divided this inaugural People’s Choice contest into residential, commercial and school because it seems unfair to compare them. I do not run the world, however, so you and I get to choose just one project to be the winner. The VOTE NOW box is at the bottom of the page.

I’m divided between the Mid-American Museum project, the new Mayflower town center and the Mood Ring House. If it were possible, I would vote for all three. Would love to hear from readers on which project they voted for.

The voting closes at 11:59 Aug. 31. The People’s Choice Award will be presented at the AIA Arkansas awards dinner Oct. 16 in Hot Springs.
