I don't normally post works of art that aren't in an exhibit, but I'm making an exception here. V.L. Cox, in response to the slaughter by the white supremacist at Emanuel A.M.E. Church in Charleston, is enlarging her "End Hate" project, and she sent me an image of this piece with the following note:

Due to recent events, I have decided to continue the "End Hate" series to include new works. It's time to go back to the basics, start from the beginning, and learn to talk to one another. This is why I used an image of a simple child's toy (one of the first things children communicate with) for the subject matter in this piece. Bottom line, when deeply felt hatred towards others escalates to violence, it IS an Emergency and one that affects us all.
