1. Pagiins - "Leif's Song"
Here's something new from Fayetteville indie rock band Pagiins, who are offering a preview of their forthcoming album "Opium Den Pool Party" (great title) at Bandcamp. It's an especially good offering from the sometimes over-familiar Fayetteville college rock circuit — somehow easy-going and propulsive, bright and angry. Also the album cover is cool.

2. ESide Shawty ft. Starlito - "One of the Greatest"
Pine Bluff native ESide Shawty might be the biggest rapper out of Arkansas at the moment, though you could be forgiven for not noticing. If anything he seems to have mostly mastered networking — he got a lot of mileage last year out of a the Lil Boosie guest verse on his single "Street Love," and his brand-new DJ Drama-hosted mixtape, "One of the Greatest" (which features "Street Love," of course), also features Mouse on the Track and Starlito, the introspective and pretty brilliant Nashville rapper who shows up here on the tape's title track.

3. Fresco Grey - "Bubonic"
If you missed Fresco Grey's "Slump Sports" mixtape, you missed one of the best Little Rock records of the first half of the year — just a really vivid, imaginative, funny collection, veering from the cartoonish to the bleakly mechanical. Now the Little Rock rapper and producer has a new tape on the way and here's its first teaser, the first song ever to reference DJ DMD, mashed potatoes and Marcel Marceau.

4. Ghost Bones - "Pied Piper (Frazzle Dazzle Remix)"
The latest EP from Hot Springs post-punk band Ghost Bones, winners of this year's Arkansas Times Musicians Showcase. This is the bonus track, a remix of "Pied Piper" from Bryan Frazier (of KABF and The Alpha Ray, etc.).

5. Massa Mella ft. Handmade Moments - "Terminator Pussy"
Wild, discordant art-rap from Fayettevile — for fans of Dr. Octagon, Shabazz Palaces and, I don't know, Silver Apples.

6. Jona$ - "MagMar"
Like watching "Princess Mononoke" on Xanax, which either appeals to you or really, really doesn't.

7. 607 - "Shame on Me"
Little Rock's 607 is known for reinventing his artistic persona and here, on his 42nd official release, he goes full D'Angelo in the greatest way.
