V.L. Cox's painting "River Bridge" — and recreated car tailgate that can be attached — was finally unveiled last night at South on Main, the restaurant and music venue at 1304 Main St. Unveiling had been scheduled a couple of weeks ago, but competing events and five inches of ice held things up a bit. (Yes, should have posted this yesterday, but spot news got in the way. Apologies.)

"River Bridge" is an 8-foot-by-8-foot painting of a 1909 iron truss bridge once located in Hot Spring County, near where Cox grew up. The Ford label is from an old truck; the rest of the truck is wood. Check it out tonight when you go see the John Bush Group perform jazz at 7:30 p.m., part of Local Live series.
