There’s another new beer on the way from the busy beer makers at Lost Forty Brewing, this one a Belgian Blonde. They’ll be debuting it to the public at new Main Street hot spot Samantha’s Tap Room on Monday, March 2 at 4 p.m. Clocking in at 4.8% alcohol by volume, it’s a much more sessionable beer than their other recently released brew, the 8.2% ABV Rock Candy Abbey Ale.
For those unfamiliar with the style, Belgian Blondes are typically moderate-strength golden ales with subtle Belgian complexity and very soft yeast flavors, slightly sweet, often with a dry finish. A few favorite examples of the style that stick out in my mind recently are Ommegang Goudenhop, Duvel Single and Green Flash Belgian Blonde.
In addition to the new brew, you’ll receive a 5 oz. Belgian Beer Tasting Glass with your purchase. With no shortage of quality beer taps at Samantha’s, also look for other local brews including Lost Forty’s Love Honey Bock and Pale Ale.
According to the Facebook event, the chef at Samantha’s Tap Room will also feature a delicious-sounding shrimp and mussels appetizer made with Belgian Blonde Butter Sauce.
