Yup. You read that right. English folk-punk legend Billy Bragg is dropping by White Water Tavern tonight for a free concert. It's expected to start around 8 p.m. and last for an hour. There are no advanced tickets. First come first served. So if you have all of the words to "A New England" committed to memory, you should probably head over soon and sweat it out.

According to Rolling Stone, Bragg and touring partner Joe Purdy are tracing the route of the Rock Island Railroad for a documentary project for Aperture magazine. The railroad once operated lines throughout Arkansas and, according to the Encyclopedia of Arkansas, the earliest known performance of the song "The Rock Island Line" were recorded in Arkansas prisons in 1934 by John Lomax and Leadbelly, who would later popularize the song.

Bragg played a benefit for Ferguson, Mo. Tuesday night in St. Louis
