Here’s the first single, “The Ghost I Used To Be,” from Pallbearer’s forthcoming album, “Foundations Of Burden,” recorded in Portland with producer Billy Anderson (Swans, Eyehategod, Sleep, Neurosis, Red House Painters) and due out August 19 via Profound Lore. The Arkansas doom metal icons broke through nationally with 2012’s epic-tragic “Sorrow and Extinction” (NPR called it “heartbreaking”), and have lately been rolling out a steady stream of national tour dates, none of which, pretty conspicuously, seem to be in Little Rock. Pre-order the album today, and go see them live, provided you’re willing to drive a long distance.
