Linoleum cuts by 2013 Delta Award-winning artist Neal Harrington go on exhibit Friday at Cantrell Gallery in a show called "Music, Myth & The Hard Travelin’ Man.”

(I pause here to note that every time I see the show title I am transported to a bar of my youth whose jukebox played the Allman Bros. "Travelin' Man" non-stop. That could be Harrington's earwig, or not.)

The subtitle for the series is "A Ballad in Relief," so the work will be narrative. You can meet the artist and learn the ballad yourself at a reception at the gallery, 8206 Cantrell Road, from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10. The show runs through March 1.

Harrington, who teaches art at Arkansas Tech, was also the winning poster designer for the Acansa arts festival slated for later this year.
