Burger from White Water Tavern

Well folks, the holidays have come and gone. I hope you ate as well as I did, for I certainly found some really delightful things to shove in my mouth—chocolate, liver mousse, rillettes, hummus, pancakes, bacon, cookies (a LOT of cookies), pastas, dates, egg nog, and much, much more. I’ve probably eaten enough calories to last me until March, but I’ll have to soldier on and continue to eat.

And now 2014 is upon us. I sure I’m not alone in thinking that this is going to be a banner year for Little Rock food. We saw lots of wonderful things in 2013 and I only see things getting better from here. More Asian options? More Thai or Korean? I certainly hope so. Little Rock needs more kimchi. Maybe a ramen joint. That would be nice. We could do with a few nicely done gastropubs, and maybe a few more farm-to-table establishments. If we could get a Korean taco truck, I’d be in heaven. And perhaps a genuine NY style deli—where a guy can get corned beef or pastrami stacked a foot high. Dream big, Arkansas.

So what are you eating in 2014? What are you filling your faces with? It’s your turn to sound off on this week’s Food Feedback Friday.
