Work by Anita Fields (left) and Tony Tiger at the Walton Arts Center.
Oklahoma artists Tony Tiger,
a member of the Sac and Fox tribe, and Anita Fields
, an Osage, are showing work informed by their Native American culture at the Walton Arts Center's
Joy Pratt Lambert Gallery.
"Linking the Past to the Present"
features ceramics by Fields, a potter and installation artist, whose designs are abstractions of traditional Osage motifs. Tiger combines historic photographs and tribal designs in works on canvas. Manuela Well-Off-Man
, curator at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, curated the exhibition.
The show runs through Jan. 25.
