Dan Thornhill's
master's thesis exhibition, "An Abstraction of Toys," has opened in Gallery II of the Fine Arts Building at UALR. Last Friday's reception was postponed to this Friday, Dec. 13, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Thornhill's inspiration, according to a press release from UALR, are his grandchildren's toys, which he paints in a 

This series of paintings shows an evolution from a representational to a more abstract style of painting. The subject matter that has inspired Dan Thornhill compositions is his grandchildren’s toys. The abstract works of Pablo Picasso have also heavily influences the paintings of Thornhill.
