Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art made its formal announcement today of the upcoming exhibition of the works that the museum now jointly owns with Fisk University. "The Artists' Eye: Georgia O'Keeffe and the Alfred Stieglitz Collection," 101 works donated to the Nashville, Tenn., university by O'Keeffe, opens Nov. 9 and brings to Arkansas O'Keeffe's wonderful "Radiator Building — Night, New York," Marsden Hartley's "Painting No. 3," Pierre-Auguste Renoir's "Le chapeau epingle (Pinning the Hat)," photographs by Stieglitz, including a self-portrait, one of O'Keeffe, scenes of New York and clouds and other masterworks, and works by Paul Cezanne, Charles Demuth, Arthur Dove, George Grosz, John Marin, Abraham Walkowitz, Charles Duncan, Wanda Gag, Benard Karfiol, Benjamin Kopman, Stanton MacDonald-Wright, Alfred Maurer, Manolo Hugue, Kenneth Hayes Miller, Elie Nadelman, Jules Pascin, Pablo Picasso, Diego Rivera, Gino Severini, Charles Sheeler, Paul Signac, Theophile-Alexandre Steinlen, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Abraham Walkowitz.

Crystal Bridges' bid to share the collection was in court in Tennessee from 2006 to 2012; here's a short wrap-up by the New York Times.
