It is a sure sign that summer's winding down: the end of the regular season of minor league baseball. The Arkansas Travelers will finish the 2013 regular season with a seven-game home stretch that started Tuesday and continues through Labor Day.
If the Travs make the playoffs, there will be home games on Sept. 6 and, if needed, Sept. 7 and 8. The home team faces off against the Springfield Cardinals through Friday at 7:10 p.m. Starting Saturday, they'll take on their in-state rivals, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, starting at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, 2:10 p.m. Sunday and 1:10 p.m. Monday.
Sunday is the day when kids can run around the bases after the game. That right there sounds like some very wholesome fun.
