Magnolia native Shannin Watkins, a singer/songwriter who performs as Shining Rae (and who played in our Showcase in 2012), recently signed a two-year partnership with the London-based Base79, one of the biggest YouTube channels and a video rights management company with offices in Europe and the United States.
Watkins came to the attention of the company after auditioning for Simon Cowell's The You Generation contest, managed by Base79. Though she didn't win, she was offered a deal from Base79 based on her audition.
Watkins is currently in the process of producing her first music video for the company. A press release is included after the jump.
SHINING RAE SIGNS DEAL WITH INTERNATIONAL VIDEO NETWORK BASE79
July 2013 - Pop/Soul Singer/BMI Songwriter, Shining Rae, is an artist gaining International attention as her hit single "Sugar" recently made its debut on mainstream European radio (Flames Radio 94.4 FM and Platinum Grooves Radio both based in London England).
